CBS 42 Wins Three Alabama Broadcasters Association Awards and Five Associated Press Awards

KIMT Wins Top Honor for Half-Hour Special
[Los Angeles, CA – April 23, 2010] – New Vision Television is proud to announce that the KIMT sports department has earned a prestigious regional honor.

Jeff Zell and A.J. Ellingson’s 2009 Pigskin Preview has won a first-place Eric Sevareid Award from the Northwest Broadcast News Association (NBNA).

The sports department compiled many hours of interviews and footage to produce the half-hour high school football preview show that highlighted many of the teams in North Iowa and Southern Minnesota.

The small market honor is the second in the last three years for the KIMT sports staff. The department previously won an Eric Sevareid Merit Award in 2007.

Murrow Award for best documentary, “Poison in the Air.” The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) bestows the honor to deserving television stations that have exemplified the pursuit of excellence in journalism.

“Poison in the Air,” already named Best Documentary by the Alabama Broadcasters Association and the Associated Press, is an investigation into Birmingham’s poor air quality and the effect on those who live in the area.

Los Angeles CA – October 20, 2009 – New Vision Television has named John Dawson    President and General Manager of KSNW and the Kansas State Network stations based in Wichita, Kansas. The NBC affiliated stations have been managed for over 20 years by Al Buch, who is retiring at the end of 2009.
