New Vision Television Congratulates WIAT CBS42 For Winning Six Alabama Broadcasters Association Awards

[Los Angeles, CA – March 22, 2010] - WIAT – TV, CBS 42, is honored to be the recipient of six awards from the Alabama Broadcasters Association, including the coveted Television Station of the Year Award, and three Associated Press Awards. All nine awards were bestowed upon CBS 42 during an evening banquet on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

The Alabama Broadcasters Association awarded CBS 42 the following honors:

  • Television Station of the Year – CBS 42
  • Best Regularly Scheduled Newscast – CBS 42 News at 6
  • Best Reporter – CBS 42’s Phillip Ohnemus
  • Merit Award for Feature – “Staying Above Water” (Reporter, Rick Jackson)
  • Best Local Programming – “Poison In The Air
  • Television Service Project of the Year – One Class At a Time

The Associated Press bestowed the following awards to CBS 42:

  • Best Regularly Scheduled Newscast – CBS 42 News at 5
  • Best Documentary – “Poison in the Air
  • Best Web Journalism
